4 Signs You’re Ready to Get Married to Your Partner

So, you’re watching your friends around you start getting married, and you’ve been with your partner for quite some time.  It’s only natural to start asking yourself if maybe it’s time for you to start settling down too. That said, many couples may find themselves wondering if the person they’re with is the one.  If this sounds like you, then here are some of the signs that you are likely ready to marry your partner.

You Talk About The Future

People who are ready to settle down forever are the ones who talk about the future. Do you and your partner find yourself talking about how do you hope to design your kitchen one day? What about children? Do you talk about how you’d like to have kids eventually?

The more that you find yourself naturally gravitating towards conversations about the future, the more likely it is that you’re headed in that direction. However, if your partner is frequently dodging conversations about any point in time further than this afternoon, then it’s probably not a great sign that they’re committed to being with you forever.

They Make You Laugh

There are a lot of things that go into a successful marriage.  However, most marriage experts agree that perhaps the most important aspect of a successful relationship is the ability to make each other happy. If you can manage to make your partner laugh, and they do the same, then you’ve already won half the battle. Ideally, you want to spend your life with someone who makes you feel joyful. The more they can do that, the more happiness they’ll bring into the marriage.

You Have Survived Tough Times Together

Through thick and thin, through illness and in health— this is what marriage is all about. If you have already survived hardships with your partner, and have continued to come out stronger as a couple every time, then this is a huge indication that you may be cut out for marriage together.

Marriage is not always happiness and rainbows. It’s often a challenging series of events that causes you to question everything at times. The more that you stick by your partner’s side, and they do the same, the greater your chances are of surviving a marriage.

You Envision the Same Kind of Wedding

There are many couples who may seem like the perfect match.  Yet, when it comes down to wedding planning, their relationship is on the rocks as they can’t seem to agree on anything when it comes to planning if you have talked to your partner, and you both have this same idea of what your wedding should look like, then this is a huge plus. The more you can share your visions on everything from marriage, to interior design, the better of a match you are long-term.
